WebVitalsDev editorial policy

Useful explanations depend on evidence, clear limits and editorial independence.

Updated

Evidence before recommendations

WebVitalsDev uses official documentation, specifications and relevant platform guidance to explain website performance and technical SEO. A recommendation should identify the problem it addresses and the conditions under which it applies.

The publication distinguishes documented behavior, an illustrative implementation and an interpretation of the evidence. It does not invent test results, customers, staff credentials, quotations or partnerships. Product names may appear as neutral examples, without implying an endorsement.

Examples and measurements

Code examples explain a technique and state important prerequisites. They do not establish compatibility with every application. Where a result has not been measured or code has not been tested in a stated environment, the text must not imply otherwise.

Performance figures need a named source and a meaningful context. A lab result is not described as real-user data, and an estimated saving is not described as an observed business outcome.

Independence and commercial material

Editorial conclusions are not for sale. Advertising and sponsorship must be distinguishable from independent content. Any sponsored technical guide is identified as sponsored material and remains subject to factual standards; payment does not turn a commercial claim into verified evidence.

The advertising policy describes possible formats. No sponsor, audience figure or commercial relationship is implied unless it is explicitly disclosed.

Localization and updates

The English edition is the source for localized articles. Translations preserve facts, technical examples and caveats while using appropriate terminology. An error affecting several editions should be reviewed across those editions.

Material corrections are explained on the affected article, and substantive changes receive a genuine updated date. Cosmetic edits are not used to imply newly researched reporting. Send corrections to [email protected] under the corrections policy.
